CED hosted its Spring Trustee Policy Summit, Inflection Point: Charting a Sustainable Path Forward on June 11-12th in Washington, DC. The Summit opened the evening of June 11th with a dinner at the U.S. Capitol in the historic Member’ Dining Room. We were joined by Representatives Gerry Connolly (D-VA) and James Comer (R-KY).

On June 12th, the Summit consisted of a series of roundtable discussions with CED Trustees and special guests from the Washington business and public policy communities on som of the most consequential issues facing the nation, including the future of globalization and global trade, strengthening bipartisanship in Congress, US economic and political outlooks, the war in Ukraine and the future of NATO, and more.

Guest speakers included: Rep. Morgan Griffith (R-VA), Member, Subcommittee on Health (House Committee on Energy and Commerce); Hon. Heather Boushey, Member, White House Council of Economic Advisers; Chief Economist to the Invest in America Cabinet; Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE), Majority Whip, Problem Solvers Caucus; Hon. Bob Zoellick, Former President, World Bank Group; former US Trade Representative and Under Secretary of State; Heather Long, Editorial Writer and Columnist, The Washington Post; Hon. Cassandra Robertson, Special Assistant to the President for Labor Policy, White House National Economic Council; Jan Havránek, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of the Czech Republic in the United States; Former Representatives Ron Klein (D-FL) and Tom Davis (R-VA); Hon.
