Our AI and Automation Risk Index provides organizations a view of AI’s potential impacts across the job spectrum, with separate estimates of the potential for AI to displace workers and for AI to enhance productivity.

The Index ranks 734 occupations along these dimensions by capturing the composition of work tasks, activities, abilities, skills, and contexts unique to each occupation. Based on these two measures, occupations are categorized into those most at risk of AI-driven job loss; some that expect minimal AI impact; jobs that expect large productivity enhancements; and others with high potential for both productivity and replacement where outcomes are uncertain.

Note: This is a preliminary version of the tool; the final AI and Automation Risk Index database will be released with a forthcoming report providing detailed insights and explanation of the index methodology.
