The Role of Carbon Offsets in the Pathway to Net-Zero

The 2015 Paris Agreement set targets for global climate neutrality. Achieving net-zero emissions in the long-term, however, requires a well-defined pathway.

A popular tool to help achieve these ambitious targets is by using carbon offset projects. These can be either nature or technology based and require passing through a verification process before they can be awarded credits.

As with every initiative this comes with its own set of unique benefits and drawbacks. In this webcast our panel of experts will explore the case for carbon offset credits, and whether or not they have a role to play in an organization's journey to net-zero.

After attending this webcast, you will be able to:

  • Differentiate between carbon neutral and net zero targets
  • Understand what carbon offset credits are
  • Have a clear picture of both their positive and negative dimensions
  • Get insights into how companies can use these credits in their journey to net-zero
