The Social Workplace Trust Study

The workplace has always been a social place, where unofficial communications channels and social contracts have been at least as important to employees as their organizations’ formal communications systems and official organizational structures. This report examined the use of social media in the workplace, the impact social media has on workplace trust, and the effect social media use has on employee activities and attitudes.

This report was originally published by the Society for New Communications Research, which officially merged with The Conference Board in January 2016.
