Job Satisfaction 2022: Chartbook

April 05, 2022 | Report

At 60 percent, job satisfaction is the highest it has been in a decade. A recovering labor market and easing of COVID-19 pandemic worries may have contributed to the rise. In a tight labor market, employees have been able to more easily find jobs that align with their interests and physical work preferences, such as a favorable commute and office environment. However, less than half of respondents are satisfied with their opportunities for advancement, including job training programs, recognition, and promotion policies—all areas over which employers have direct control.
