C-Suite executives are demonstrating renewed confidence in their boards’ ability to navigate crises, make value-driven decisions, and plan for the future. That is according to the fourth annual Board Effectiveness: A Survey of the C-Suite by PwC and The Conference Board that gauged sentiment from over 600 C-Suite executives at US public companies.
Geopolitical conflicts, supply chain disruptions, cyberattacks, labor and regulatory challenges, trade tensions: the past few years have been tumultuous for companies. Despite these challenges, a vast majority of executives (72%) believe their board is fostering a collaborative relationship with the executive team. This perceived partnership likely plays a significant role in bolstering management's rising trust in the board across a multitude of areas.
