To date, there is some uncertainty about what is meant by Agile HR, and even more so about how to operationalize Agile principles and values in the HR function. Based on our cutting-edge research into Next Generation HR and solid theoretical foundations, we provide a working definition of Agile HR, explore examples of what this means in practice, and suggest four pathways towards Agile HR. The choice of the most suitable pathway should be based on two considerations: the business need for greater speed and flexibility to design and deliver HR solutions, and the function’s readiness for change.
