Economic uncertainty, a higher rate environment, reassessed valuations, and increased regulatory pressure have understandably incentivized risk-averse behavior, resulting in a halt in M&A activities since 2021, which was the highest year on record.
Yet research shows that companies taking a "through-cycle" approach to M&A outperform their peers - including by adding new products or services best suited to a changing environment and by taking advantage of lower valuations. Successful acquirers also rely on string in-house integration capabilities to capture the full deal potential while reducing risks.
The 2023 Merger Integration Conference addresses targeted strategies so that companies can effectively drive transformation by successfully adding new capabilities.
