Making Operational Resilience a Competitive Advantage

Background

The fact that a majority of CEOs around the globe say their organizations are not prepared for any one of 15 different crises – including in the areas of cybersecurity, a recession, inflation, supply chain disruptions, and extreme climate events – points to an even bigger challenge facing companies. They need to build greater “operational resilience” – the capability to plan for, respond to, and recover from significant operational interruptions that impair the organization's ability to continue to deliver products and services.

This Roundtable will bring together senior executives and other experts to address, 1) what goes into operational resilience, 2) the state of resilience at companies today, including key strengths and shortcomings; 3) the external and internal pressures that companies are likely to face going forward and 4) what will (and should) operational resilience look like in the future.

Description

Participating in a Roundtable is an exclusive benefit for our ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance), HC (Human Capital), and ESF (Economy, Strategy, and Finance) Center Members and special guests, and there is no fee associated with this program. As with our other Working Groups and Roundtable discussions, this session is held under the Chatham House Rule to provide a forum for a truly candid and constructive conversation.
